In this introductory class your dog will have FUN using his/her nose to sniff scents and learn how to indicate when they discover the correct scent. Scent work can help build confidence even in the most timid dog. The mental exercise of searching and problem solving is great for calming and focusing a highly aroused energetic or reactive dog. This class will focus on teaching you how to encourage and develop their natural ability and desire to seek. You will learn how to read your dog’s body language and to develop the timing to reward when on target. Your dog will have fun using their nose, building confidence while burning lots of mental and physical energy! No prior scent training is required but your dog should know basic manners.
