The five benefits of attending a dog training day camp

Dog Socialization is Very Important
Dogs are social animals and even if you are still working from home each day, they may get bored from the same daily routine. Dogs that are bored tend to act out more which can lead to frustrating behavior. Our day training camp occurs on Tuesdays and Thursdays; this gives your pup two days of socialization with other dogs and other humans. All of our camp attendees have gone through a meet and greet with our trainers so your dog will be in a safe and supervised environment.

Exercise is physically and mentally important.
At our Dog Training Day Camp, our trainers will engage your dog in mental and physical exercises. If a dog has been cooped up at home, a couple of days of physical activity will help tremendously. It will tucker them out before they return home with you and ensure a peaceful evening. Exercise is also important for dogs that are overweight as it helps to shed pounds and gives the dog something to focus on besides food. Both quarantine and winter led to an increase in pet obesity so a springtime training camp might be just what the veterinarian ordered.

Can a dog training day camp help with separation anxiety?
If you have a dog that suffers from separation anxiety, going back to work after working at home for the year can be hard on both of you. Even if your dog isn’t attending camp every day, just a couple of days of social interaction at camp can provide your dog with needed activity and structure. Camp may not completely cure the separation anxiety but it is a healthy and fun way to give your dog less alone time.

Dog Training Day Camp can give you peace of mind.
If you get nervous about leaving your dog at home all day, especially if you’ve gone back to work after a pandemic closure, our day training camp can give you peace of mind. While at camp, your dog will be trained, supervised, exercised, fed, and let out for secure bathroom breaks. You don’t have to worry about your pup getting bored or making a frustration-related mess in the house.

Dog Training Camp can lead to improved behavior.
Besides getting exercise and socializing, your dog will also receive some great training. Our day camp training focuses on reinforcement of good manners, focus and attention games, impulse control, coming when called, and more. All of our training is based on positive reinforcement so your dog will learn new behaviors in a fun and positive way.
