Cathy Tronsco: Trainer & Party Planner
Cathy began her career in 1977 in the field of Veterinary Medicine at Wantagh Animal Hospital on Long Island, New York. She started out as kennel care assistant, but quickly advanced to Treatment Room Nurse. From there she became a licensed Veterinary Technician and Surgical Nurse where she remained for 5 years.
Cathy married her husband Jack in 1981, and continued her career at Hauppauge Animal Hospital, as well as, Coram Animal Clinic. She also worked on weekends helping to manage a boarding kennel.
In 1982 the newlyweds got their first of many dogs, a Rottweiler, which she trained and began to show in obedience. She was so proud of him, earning his CD degree in just 3 shows. She enjoyed obedience training so much that she became an instructor.
In 1989, Cathy and Jack and their now 2 daughters, 1 dog, 2 cats and African Grey Parrot moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where they remained for 12 years. While living there Cathy was a full time mom but still managed to stay in the animal world. She opened her own very successful dog boarding and doggie day care business. She also worked part time in sales and marketing but her passion was always the animals. Cathy and her daughters volunteered for an animal rescue group called Dream Power Animal Rescue, fostering dogs and locating homes for many needy dogs.
In 2002 the entire family, though much larger, moved to Connecticut. The family had now grown to 6 dogs, 2 cats, the same parrot and 1 other smaller bird, 3 ferrets, 1 turtle and one large goldfish named Jeter. Cathy never leaves anyone behind. She worked for Chester Veterinary Hospital until retiring in 2018.
